A number of banks at Capegate Shopping Centre in Brackenfell have closed after staff members contracted COVID-19.
The mall’s marketing manager, Amanda McCarthy confirmed to Radio 768 that African Bank, Nedbank, Capitec, and ABSA, are all affected. Staff members at each of these banks have tested positive, and are now self-isolating.
Hi, yes there are a few: Absa, African Bank, Capitec, Cell C and Nedbank. Their staff are currently self isolating and they are sanitising the area as per protocol.

McCarthy told Radio 786 that the Cell C store in the mall also temporarily closed its doors after a manager contracted COVID-19. The store has since reopened after following the necessary decontamination process.
Such closures have not been uncommon during the lockdown, with multiple police stations and grocery stores closing intermittently to sanitise after a staff member is identified as having contracted the virus.
