On Sunday morning the streets of the Mother City will be filled with cyclists looking to gain glory in the largest timed cycling event in the world. The Cape Town Cycle Tour is back and celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2017. As always, the route runs from the CBD, around part of the peninsula and back again. As a result, many roads will be closed throughout Cape Town on Saturday in preparation and on Sunday for the main event.

On the Cape Town Cycle Tour site, an appeal has been made to spectators and residents in Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Clifton, Bantry Bay and Sea Point (including Victoria Road and Beach Road) to avoid parking along the Main Road.  The roads and times they will be closed are as follows:

Saturday 11 March 2017

Sunday 12 March 2017

Will we be seeing you at the tour? Let us know on Twitter.
