While many parts of South Africa are experiencing the third wave of COVID-19 infections, President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on Tuesday, June 15, at 8 pm.

As reported by SABC, Ramaphosa attended several meetings today as the country considers additional restrictions as it battles the third wave of COVID-19 infections. The President first met with the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) where the Department of Health presented its statistics on the pandemic, he then also had a meeting with all the Premiers.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the President might put the country back on alert level three. This would mean that the evening curfew will be earlier, a reduction in the size of public gatherings, and restrictions around the sale of alcohol.

South Africa has reported 5,552 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, June 14, taking the total to 1,752,630. The number of Deaths has reached 57,879, while recoveries have climbed to 1,611,447.
