The price of fuel is predicted to drop once again, according to unaudited mid-month data released by the Central Energy Fund (CEF) for November. Currently, predictions stipulate that 17c will be shaved off the current petrol price, and the cost of diesel may also drop by 20c.

The price of illuminating parafin, however, is expected to increase by 5c.

The international price of fuel is currently stable, and this has contributed to the decrease. However, things may not remain as good for drivers, as Minister of Finance Tito Mboweni is expected to make his mid-term Budget Speech on Thursday, October 15, and this may affect the predicted price of fuel.

Currently, petrol is predicted to cost R13.99 per litre on the coast, and R14.69 per litre inland. The coastal price of diesel is expected to be around R11.57 per litre, while it may cost R12.17 inland.
