A popular Cape Town radio presenter, Reinette Myburgh, who reportedly survived a home invasion in which she was stabbed, has returned to work.

According to News24, the Radio Cape Pulpit presenter found a stranger standing in her kitchen on April 8.

When she asked him what he was doing, he started fighting her and stabbed her with a knife, puncturing one of her lungs.

The man then fled, taking her bible bag and cellphone. He, however, dropped the knife and bad.

“I felt the pain in my chest and the blood spurting out and I knew I had to calm down,” she was quoted as saying, adding that the wound was only milimetres from a major artery.

Myburgh returned to work on Thursday, almost a month after the incident.

No suspects have been arrested.
