Winter is not yet over in Cape Town. Despite a warm spell two weeks ago, temperatures have dipped once more – with an expected minimum of six degrees this Sunday.
A cold front is currently making its way to the city as we brace ourselves for some much-needed rainfall tonight. Up to 20mm of rain may arrive later, with as much as 40mm forecast for the mountain catchment areas. Strong north-westerly gales are predicted to roll in from this afternoon.
Meanwhile, a light dusting of snow could fall tomorrow on the higher, outlying peaks.
