In celebration of Mandela Day 2021, TEARS Animal Rescue will be hosting a weekend event on July 16, 17 and 18. The public has been asked to please gift 67 + minutes of their time to volunteering.
Due to COVID-19, TEARS, unfortunately, could not host an event requesting assistance from volunteers last year, but now they are over the moon with excitement to welcome Capetonians back to create a massive impact for animals.

There are a variety of projects for the Mandela Day and weekend event. With the help of many hands, TEARS will be able to improve the living space and lives of the animals in their care.
There is an aim to accomplish all tasks and execute the project that may seem impossible to others. If you would like more information on the projects, click here.

When you register for a project for Mandela Day, you will be able to purchase the TEARS Mandela Day buff, while stocks last. Upon your arrival, you will receive your buff. Be sure to register early to avoid any disappointment.
Can’t attend but want to help?
If you are unable to volunteer, you may support the TEARS Mandela Day and weekend events by kindly sponsoring some tools that will be needed to complete the projects, or sponsor the cost of a project instead.
