The drama continues to unfold as the the upcoming tell-all interview scheduled to take place between rogue Royals, Megan and Harry, with Oprah Winfrey fast approaches.
Senior Royals and Palace aides will watch the interview alongside the rest of the world, without any form of prior involvement.
“Officials have vowed to ‘reserve judgement’ on the show and will decide on Monday whether to make a public response in light of anything specific Meghan and Harry have to say,” revealed The Daily Mail.
The Duke and Duchess have been thrown further into criticism, facing a backlash at the decision to proceed with the interview despite Prince Philip’s ill health. The 99-year-old is recovering in hospital from heart surgery.
Former colleague and friend of Markle’s, Patrick J Adams (Suits co-star), claimed the royal family is using the Duke of Edinburgh’s health as an excuse to keep her ‘muzzled’, continued The Daily Mail.
The interview itself is said to be Meghan-focused, with Harry joining at the end to discuss future plans for the couple.
All the while, it has been reported that the relationship between Harry and his brother William hangs on by a thread. This has been judged as a deliberate attempt by Harry to distance himself and his wife from the Royal family.
