Sea point Swimming Pool has finally reopened after closing on January 28 due to ash deposits found in the water as a result of a recent fire on Lions Head and Signal Hill.
Water quality in the pool was compromised due to the ash deposits that had settled at the bottom of the pool and the facility was closed for cleaning.
The City has successfully cleared all ash deposits from the pool and the public is being encouraged to once again visit the popular seaside swimming area.
The City has cleared all the ash deposits from Sea Point swimming pool, so it’s once again open to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience the closure may have caused. #CTNews pic.twitter.com/Fn8wBx0S4o
