Silvermine Dam within Table Mountain National Park is officially open to the public again.
This comes after the body of a missing 69-year-old man was found in the dam on March 27, according to reports from Table Mountain Nation Park (TMNP).
“The discovery follows a week-long search of a reported missing 69-year-old man whose vehicle was discovered in the Silvermine parking area on Sunday, 21 March 2021,” said TMNP Park Manager, Frans van Rooyen.
Gate times are as follows: 7am-6pm (Exit by 7pm).
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our visitors for their patience and understanding when the dam was closed,” TMNP said.
