As predicted, the Western Cape received a hearty amount of snow last night and this morning, with many Capetonians taking to the summit of Table Mountain on Sunday to witness the snow flurries.

Table Mountain received several centimetres of snow from intermittent flurries beginning in the early hours of Sunday morning until the afternoon. Predictions emerged from local weather outlets late on Saturday, where up to 11cm of snow was estimated to fall on the summit.

Light flakes began to fall before sunrise this morning, with a more significant amount arriving around midday.

Meanwhile, Worcester locals woke up to the sight of snow-capped peaks.
