As South Africans, we all know we live in a country of great natural beauty but its always special to be reminded. The latest music video by Durban musician Guy Buttery does just that. The music video is an ode to Africa, and features shots from across the country.

Buttery has become somewhat of an ambassador for South African music, and was labelled as “one of South Africa’s most influential artists over the past decade” by The Sunday Independent. His distinctive style is influenced by traditional South African culture, music and instrumentation.

He has just released his new song ‘Sonokota (A Million Things remix’, and like his music, the accompanying video is proudly South African. Thandi Ntuli is on vocals, while Buttery plays the mbira and Kanada Narahari is on sitar and vocals.

The music video is shot by Panga Films, and was filmed across Southern Africa between 2017-2020 in many locations, including Khotso, Sani Pass, Hawaan Forest, Maputaland, Durban and Sutherland. Locations in other countries like Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Congo and Zambia also feature.
