The Stellenbosch Municipality is on high alert, as the Jozi2Stellenbosch collective has announced they will take to the streets of the winelands town to protest against white monopoly and what they call the “Stellenbosch mafia”. Residents have been advised to avoid the Kayamandi taxi rank, as this is to be the prime site of protest action on Wednesday morning [August 12].
“The continuous uninterrupted existence of a minority race enjoying the full privileges of being direct descendants of our Land dispossession coupled with their uncompromising denial of Apartheid beneficiation whilst unable to hide their generational inheritance, wealth and opulence in the midst of heightened poverty, unemployment and degenerating economy has directly led to the uprising of an upright youth that decided to set aside their academics, leisure, loved ones and any imaginary comfort to claim their country by militantly confronting the enemy as identified,” Jozi2Stellenbosch’s manifesto reads.
“In our lifetime, we have blatantly witnessed the brutality, killer instincts and greed ridden white minority rule in our country led by a few families – mainly Ruperts, Oppenheimers, Ackermans, Bekkers, Wisoes, le Reouxs, Bassons and Joostes – who collectively run their errands through companies like Remgro, Steinhoff, Anglo American, Shoprite, Pepkor, Naspers and Capitec that also share a majority in the JSE, controlled and uncontrolled mines, retail, food, fishing, essentials, medicine, tourism, manufacturing, media, investments, banking and farming.”
“Through politicians, judges, accountants, NGOs and personalities they have managed to hide zillions offshore whilst behind the scenes, through curtains of business magnates, philanthropist acts and donor soft approach they camouflage their ulterior motives which are to rake the continent of all it’s natural resources subjecting the majority to landlessness, exclusion, minority rule and servitude,” the manifesto continues.
“These few families have enjoyed 3 generations of a lifestyle that is of domination, monopoly and segregation while openly declaring themselves as the untouchables of this country and continue to remain extremely wealthy for the next 300 years even if they stopped trading today.”
Let us be dangerous to all that is unfair to us! ✊?

The group also calls on land occupations to continue, as a way for farming, improved schooling and self-sustainability to be created through “black power”.
