A woman (32) who was allegedly involved in the murder of her police constable husband was tracked down approximately 950 kilometres away.
Constable Mneli Jobela was discovered inside his vehicle on Oliver Tambo Drive in the Samora Machel informal settlement in October last year with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
It has been alleged that three suspects were involved in the brutal murder, but only two were arrested. A warrant was issued for Jobela’s wife, Qaqamba Qayisa.
Recently, police issued an appeal to the public to come forward with any information on Qayisa’s whereabouts. She was discovered in Mbombo Village in the Eastern Cape on Thursday evening.
Speaking to News24,South African Police Services (SAPS) said that coverage from local media coupled with information received from the public resulted in Qayisa being found.
