International and local tourists are advised that the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (TMACC) will be closed for three weeks in July to observe its annual maintenance period.
The cableway will be closed from Tuesday, July 7 to Sunday July 26. Wahida Parker, Managing Director of TMACC, explains that the annual maintenance shutdown is essential in ensuring that the cableway runs at an optimum and reducing any possible technical delays while also ensuring the safety of the visitors to the mountain.
The scope of work in accordance with the BAV standard for 2020’s maintenance shutdown will include:
South Africans whose birthdays fall during the annual maintenance period will be able to collect and use their free tickets during the week before (30 June to 6 July 2020) and the week after (27 July to 2 August 2020) the shutdown.
