High school student Jonathan Bouwer reached out to David Scott, known by his stage name ‘The Kiffness’, on social media to see if he could borrow Scott’s iconic floral suit for his matric dance.
Bouwer’s school decided to host a matric dance after lockdown restrictions were eased and he had envisioned himself in a floral suit. Unfortunately Bouwer was unable to find a store in Cape Town that stocked the attire at such short notice.
Being a huge fan of the Kiffness, he knew that the musician owned a floral suit and reached out to the musician on Instagram. He explained that the suit he wanted was supposed to have a floral theme similar to the one Scott owns.
In his message, he wrote: “What would the possibility be of me wearing that awesome floral suit that you rock so hard. It’ll be an awesome thing.”
“Even if you don’t read this, I hope that it finds you well and you continue to do your thing,” he added.
The Kiffness read the message and was more than happy to fulfill the request. He met with Bouwer and gave him the suit, which fit quite well.
The Kiffness shared the story to his Facebook page, saying “This is what the internet was made for.”
