South Africa is home to more than 9 876 suburbs, and with 315 899 properties sold across the country, amounting to R243-billion. To date, more than 261 097 properties were sold in 2019, and this totals R210-billion.

According to the Lightstone Property Group, the estates with the highest growth inflation over the past year are based in Hospitaalpark in Limpopo, Havenside in KwaZulu-Natal and Hartzenbergfontein AH in Gauteng.

In the Western Cape, the town Noordhoek had the highest average transaction prices across the year at R4.5-million generated.

The highest valued suburbs in Cape Town include Llandudno, De Bosch and Constantia.

Llandudno

This seaside neighbourhood is known for its beautiful luxury homes and panoramic views. A three-bedroom home in Llandudno can range anywhere between R12-million and R15-million.

While trends shift, most property buyers in the area range between 36-49 years old, and 50-64 years old.

De Bosch

De Bosch Estate is located in Stellenbosch, and is well-known for its luxury villa-style family homes. On average, family homes here include four garages, four living spaces, a braai room, a spacious kitchen including a pantry and scullery, a main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, two other en-suite bathrooms, staff quarters on the ground floor, a study and a gym on the first-floor.

Constantia

Plush Constantia is one of Cape Town’s most coveted neighbourhoods, and is known as the perfect leafy suburb to raise your children. Located 17.7km away from the CBD, many people find it easy to commute from here into the city.

While property in Constantia is still priced above average, it is the most reasonably priced of the three neighbourhoods listed in Cape Town.
