TripAdvisor is certainly no fly-by-night travel authority whose awards are something to be taken lightly. The massive Wall Street-listed company has recently revealed its top destinations in South Africa based on popular user vote.
The Top 10 list is as follows:
1. Cape Town
2. Knysna
3. Franschhoek
4. Plettenberg Bay
5. Johannesburg
6. Constantia
7. Camps Bay
8. Hermanus
9. Paarl
10. Stellenbosch
The Travellers’ Choice Destinations Award honours top travel destinations worldwide based on the millions of valuable reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, attractions and restaurants in destinations worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.
We dominated that list. Well done!
