“Nadia, who carved her early career in print journalism and later made her mark in the book publishing arena, will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Her death was swift and untimely. Our hearts are shattered,” the family’s statement read.
According to SABC, Goetham joined Jacana in 2015 as a production manager. In her short biography, she says she was soon bitten by the publishing bug and she moved to chasing authors and stories.
Many have expressed their condolences on Twitter.

I was lucky enough to have Nadia Goetham as my first book publisher.
Warm hearted, utterly dedicated to the task, encouraging all the time and critical when needed.

Extremely saddened and stunned by the sudden death of #Nadia Goetham. It seem as though one minute she was tweeting and on WhatsApp and the next she was gone. Yet another wonderful, young, lovely talented person lost to this world. Condolences to her family, friends and Jacana
