Graphic footage of a Toyota Avanza crashing into pedestrians in Stock Road, Philippi-East on the morning on Sunday, November 29 has been released.
The 14-second clip shows the car speeding down the road before unexpectedly moving onto the pavement and into car parked on the side of the road and pedestrians. Others on the pavement quickly jump out of the way as the car ploughs through.
Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana from SAPS confirmed that four pedestrians were seriously injured and a baby was killed.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested for culpable homicide and drunken driving.

The suspect will appear in court once charged.
