A 6-year-old boy who spent the past three years in a hospital bed was finally reunited with his parents. Travonne Rhoda was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis Obliterans in 2017 and has been in and out of hospital until he was admitted in 2018. Bronchiolitis obliterans is a type of obstructive lung disease of the small airways.

As reported by IOL, Travonne’s mother ,Simone Rhoda said it has been a very difficult time for them as a family and especially for her son, who had to be without his family. Throughout the years in hospital, Travonne has also been on life support six times.

Meanwhile, the group marketing manager at Melomed Private Hospitals, Shameema Adams, indicated that over the years Travonne was constantly being checked to see if he was ready to be discharged and after his doctor’s last assessment, got the green light to go home to his family.
