President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday night confirmed Covid’s second wave was something of the past and that the country was back to Level One.

However, he cautioned against any form of recklessness and urged every individual to continue to fight the pandemic through continuing to respect all the daily guidelines in relation to Covid.

The President said it was imperative to restore the country to growth and get people back to work.

Level One means:

*The land borders that were closed remain closed. The ones that were open remain open. The five airports that were open remain open.

*Alcohol can be sold during licence hours but not during curfew hours.

*Night vigils or gatherings after funerals are not allowed. Nightclubs still closed.

*Curfew between 12 pm and 4am. No alcohol to be sold in these hours.

*Gatherings permitted and include religious, social, political and cultural. Maximum number at gathering is 100 indoor and 250 outdoor.

* Masks remain mandatory
