In the world of travel, TripAdvisor is king. As the world’s largest travelling site, it’s reviews and recommendations are as good as gold, and if a company receives a Certificate of Excellence from the site, you are guaranteed to receive the very best from them.
In the Cape, we are fortunate to have a number of incredible places that have received this great honour. The latest recipient of a Certificate of Excellence is Whale Watchers in Hermanus. During whale season (June to November) Whale Watchers allows you witness just how wonderful these gentle giants are in their natural environment. As a boat based whale watching company, you get to enjoy up-close and personal whale encounters, that will blow your mind.
The trip is around 2 hours (depending on the whales and weather) and you will be in the company of a SATOUR qualified guide who will fascinate you with their astounding knowledge of the marine wildlife in the area. The boats are child and wheelchair friendly, so no memeber of the family gets left behind. You also get to see the gorgeous coastline from a completely different perspective, but the real treat is (of course) the whales.
There are two whale watching spots that the boats frequent, but it is not uncommon to see whales before reaching them. Humpback and Bryde’s whales inhabit those waters and are likely to come say hello to you during your trip. Seeing them is indescribable, it is something you have to experience to understand.
What makes the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence a point of pride with Whale Watchers is the fact that it is awarded to businesses that maintain an overall Tripadvisor rating of at least 4/5. This means that they must receive a huge amount of positive reviews from travellers who have been on a ride with them. In essence it means their service is so outstanding, people can’t help but sing their praises.
Nina Cronje from Whale Watchers says:
‘We are so blessed to have an incident free record, and loads of satisfied clients. It is a privilege for us to show tourists the wonder of what we work with, and witness every day during Whale Season in Walker Bay, Hermanus.’
So if sitting on the shore, looking through a pair of binoculars is not enough for you, book a boat trip with Whale Watchers. They are certified with excellence!
