The Western Cape Government have confirmed that the number of vaccination sites in the province will increase to 53 on Monday, May 24, with more sites to open. This forms part of the Department’s scale-up approach to make more sites available regularly, as the number of vaccinations administered increases daily, Premier Alan Winde said on Saturday, May 22.
According to Winde, the department of Health will also bring online 23 more public vaccination sites, bringing the total of public vaccination sites to 42.
” The private sector will have 11 sites operational as of Monday, with Mediclinic bringing online 4 additional sites as of May 24.” “We will also continue with outreaches to old age homes in the City of Cape Town and commence with outreaches to old age homes in municipalities outside of the metro,” Winde said.

- Inzame Zabantu Community Day Centre
- Heideveld Community Health Clinic

- Cape Town Civic Centre (Occupation Health office)

Meanwhile, Winde reiterated that all those 60 years and older should register for their vaccine. ” If you are not yet eligible, you can play your part by helping to register those who are., ” Winde said.
