A Port Elizabeth woman was arrested for pointing a gun towards Economic Freedom Front (EFF) supporters in a mall earlier this week. Dianne Atwell (52) has had her case postponed until November 6, and was reportedly “whisked away by a strong contingent of police”, according to Strand Patrol.
She was arrested after she pulled a gun on Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) members at Walmer Park in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, September 8. It is believed the woman was shopping at a Clicks when she was allegedly intimidated by EFF party members.
A video widely circulated on social media shows her pulling out a gun as she is being escorted by shopping centre security staff. Many believe she was being intimidated and pulled out the gun in self-defence.
This is why women should be armed.
If you want to raise a hand to a woman then the repercussions should be immediate and severe.
