Six friends will attempt to break a Guinness World Record right here in the Mother City, by running for longer than 6 hours, in one six person costume. If you thought running a marathon was difficult enough, Team Top Dog – made up of six friends, Ayoub Banderker, Ashraf Rahiman, Muhammed Sanglay, Asgar Dalvie, Nadeem Sanglay and Ebrahim Rawoot – will be running in a six person hot dog costume.
The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon on 23 September 2018 is a much-anticipated event in the Mother City, and it just got a lot more interesting. Team Top Dog has come together to achieve this goal in support of the Cape Of Good Hope SPCA.
To break the current world record, the team has to run for longer than 6 hours and 21 minutes and to bring awareness to their cause, they will be running in a costume with the likeness of a Dachshund, named “Worsie”.
Entries for the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon are coming to a close – enter while you still can.
