Cape Town Jazz Festival

Africa’s grandest gathering, the annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival will be entertaining the Mother City once again from March 29 to 30 2019.

The largest music event in sub-Saharan Africa, the festival is famous for its star-studded lineups that always feature both local and international artists. It is currently preparing for its 20th anniversary celebration.

This year’s festival-goers will be treated to another stellar lineup and are guaranteed an unforgettable evening of live jazz.

Slave Route Challenge

The Slave Route Challenge brings together people from all walks of life, truly encapsulating the spirit of Ubunthu. he avid runner can decide to participate in the Half Marathon or a 10km Run while novices can choose the 10km Big Walk or the 5km Fun Run/Walk.

The Slave Route Challenge takes you from The City Hall through District Six, Gardens, Company Gardens, Wale Street, Bo-Kaap, Sea Point (Cape Town Stadium), Green Point (Fort Wynyard), CBD and back down Darling Street into the Castle of Good Hope, and to the finish on the Grand Parade.

Runners and walkers have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty and cultural diversity of Cape Town and historical places like the Bo-Kaap and District Six as they run and walk.

South African International Tattoo Convention 

The tattoo convention was founded in 2016 by Waldo Del Rocca, owner of Cape Electric Tattoo in Cape Town. This event is entirely about tattooing, representing multiple styles and diversity within the tattoo community.

Everyone is welcome to come and have a good time (and even get tattooed) within a relaxed and picturesque setting with the ocean on the one side and Table Mountain on the other.

Sonskyn Festival
