How incredible is this – roughly over a thousand dolphins chasing bait fish off of Robben Island.
Cape Town Youtuber Robbie Ragless was there to capture this breathtaking moment from a boat.

ive experienced this one day whilst fishing off houtbay and it was absolutely awsome
Amazing thing to catch on camera. Slight bemused as to why they would chase them near the end of the video, with so many in the water surely running over some with your propeller is a possibility?
Christine Allenspach falscher zeitpunkt würde ich sagen ??

While over in False Bay the Orcas were feeding on the dolphins there!
Also wondered why they started their engines and took off possibly injuring some who happened to be under boat at time!
While this a lovely sight it is not a rare event, shoals of porpoises are seen every few weeks.
GavinGrierson this was Epic!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Wendy Van Gool
What a wonderful sight. Also worried about the propeller though.
Same sentiments…
Beautiful
Yep….a little annoyed there with those propellers running ….thanx anyway for sharing….
Mooi!
Hi Chris these are Common Dolphins and not Porpoises. There are no Porpoises found along the South African coast.
Evolution! Very very sad to think about but it’s how it’s suppose to happen!
Totally agree where I live I see Orcas regularly passing by in our sea on way up North and hunting seals if they can!

We see this regularly next to the ferries in BC Canada and next to the cruise ships
