The #Capefire that ravaged the peninsula this week pulled us Capetonians together in a way seldom seen before.
We’d like to pay tribute to the brave firefighters who put themselves between us and the blaze, to everyone who supported them, and to Cape Town herself – beautiful even in her hour of devastation.
The outpouring of support for our brave firefighters and volunteers jammed social media, not to mention fire stations being flooded with donations so they could keep doing their excellent and very necessary work.

All Capetonians who banded together to support firemen raise money helped in whatever way they cpuld you make me proud to all fire personel whatever role you played I cannot stop praising you. You were fantastic.Many blessings to you all
