1 Secondhand Rose

Established in 1971, it’s believed that Secondhand Rose is the first shop of its kind to open its doors in the Mother City. If you’re in the mood to doll yourself up or revamp your day-to-day wardrobe, we recommend this quaint little store as a starting point for your style mission.

2 Second Time Around

3 2nd Take

2nd Take is the biggest seller of consignment secondhand apparel in the country and even has its own online store. It all began by seeking a solution to a problem that many of us are guilty of – having a good chunk of our wardrobes filled with impulsive buys that we never wear. It’s been so successful, it now has a Rondebosch store too.

5 Jack and Jill Secondhand Clothing

This intimate Winelands gem sells top-notch garments and accessories – from shoes and bags to costume jewellery. If you’re looking to spring-clean your cupboard, Jack and Jill will buy your clothes from you upfront unlike most secondhand shops, which only pay you after the garment has been purchased from them.
