South African painter Hanneli Rupert founded Okapi in 2008 with a view to being a luxury, locally manufactured African brand. Okapi got its name from the elusive antelope also known as the African Unicorn.

Okapi’s latest campaign, Icons, was shot in Cape Town and London. The campaign celebrates the modern woman – entrepreneurial, intelligent, strong and pioneering.  These incredible women are nothing short of Goddesses, which is why Okapi have decided to share their stories alongside their brand.

A fitting product that personifies these women is the Oya handbag. Named after the magical Warrior Goddess, the Oya handbag was designed to become more beautiful with time. Made with hard wearing Blesbok leather, it will develop a sheen as it ages.

The Oya bag is available in a range of colours. Please note, the Springbok horn is sold separately.
