PLATE UP AT MERVYN GERS
Mervyn Gers Ceramics specialises in bespoke tableware collections for shops, restaurants, cooking schools – and now you.
Everything is done in-house at their Cape Town studio, from designing the form and feel of the ceramics to mixing their own glaze and making their own decals for patterned pieces.
We love this 16-piece dinnerware set, perfect if you’re overhauling your entertaining sets for spring.

LIGHTEN UP AT THE ARTISAN
The Artisan is a brand that aims to inspire and create wonderful things, and it does just that from its base in Cape Town.
It was founded by architectural technologist Jovan Geldenhuys in 2013, who was  later joined by exhibition designer Ingrid Auret. The pair have a passion for functional design and possess an eye for detail, and together they create beautiful objects of high quality and design functionality.
Our favourite of their innovations is this quirky – yet cool – copper lamp. If you’re a fan of minimalist design, this will suit your abode perfectly.

Room 12 Wallpaper

HELLO MISS HAVISHAM
Based in Cape Town, Room 13 Design is a boutique graphic design studio who have been passionately crafting beautiful things for over 10 years. The Room 13 Collection is a unique range of interior products, inspired by a compilation of concepts and ideas. Drawings, collages and graphics collected over time now feature in this one-of-a-kind collection.
One such graphic that sums up the collection perfectly – for its colourful print and pattern – is Miss Havisham. We love it as a wallpaper for a trendy accent wall. The design is digitally printed on to vinyl wallpaper with a paper backing, with a subtle fabric weave texture that gives it a unique textile appearance.
Not a fan of wallpaper? You can order the print as a cushion cover, textile or tablecloth.
Cost R450 per square metre at 125 cm wide (excludes installation)

FEELIN’ FELINE WITH ZANA
Zana is a fun and fresh creative brand based in Cape Town. From their studio in Woodstock, they screen-print, sew, test, package, make and dream up new designs and products.
The business, a shared passion of Robyn Britz, Sue Britz, Melissa Nunnerley and Nikki Albertyn (with the fab Yeukai Mandizvidza and Tendai Mharidzo in sewing and production) was born out of their love for creating, pattern and typography.
These ceramic sprinkle cat bowls are 100% handmade, in limited quantities. Irresistible for all us cat people!
