SOIL DESIGN
Soil Design
is a graphic design and illustration studio based in Claremont, owned and run by two sisters, Kara and Mieke. Together they specialise in print design, illustration, textile and wallpaper design. Recently they have started a product range which can be found at their stall at The Watershed, V&A Waterfront.
This tropical bag is inspired by their wallpaper range. Tropsi is so in right now, and we just love it!

TEA IN CABO
What started as a collaboration project between two designers, Mariaan van Zyl and Anja Capuzzimati, Cabo has grown into a company specialising in artfully designed lifestyle products.
Based in Cape Town, the pair draw inspiration from our beautiful city, nature, people and places. A fun historical fact, the name Cabo was one of the first official names of Cape Town. Dias called it ‘Cabo das Tormentas’, the Cape of Storms. The range of products includes ceramics, glassware and leatherware, but we just love this adorable dandelion tea set.

ME AND MILAME
Jewellery designer Emma Atkinson started Milame Handmade Design in 2011 after winning 4th prize in the student category at the Plat Africa Awards in 2010. She creates simple yet elegant jewellery pieces, like this square shape ring in silver and brass.
Based in Cape Town, you can browse some of her pieces at URBAN HUB in Buitengracht Street, or shop her handmade collections online. She also loves custom commissions, so perhaps treat yourself to a gift, from yourself.
