Thought you caught a glimpse of Michael Fassbender wandering through the streets of Cape Town? Well, it’s more than likely you have as the actor is currently visiting the city to accompany his girlfriend Alicia Vikander who is shooting the reboot of Tomb Raider here. But Fassbender and Vikander aren’t the only A-listers in the hood though. Here are some other celebs you may also run into as Hollywood takes on the Mother City to shoot these five productions.

1 Maze Runner: The Death Cure

The third and final instalment of the dystopian sci-fi thriller, based on the novels written by James Dashner, sees the titular characters battling to find a cure for a fatal illness called ‘The Flare’. Kaya Scodelario, Dylan O’Brien, Katherine McNamara, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Will Pouter are all set to star in the motion picture, which means there’s a good chance of glimpsing one or all of them. Case in point – Kaya Scodelario’s recent birthday celebration where she calls out our gorgeous city:

So happy I got to celebrate my 25th birthday with these lovely humans in Cape Town. Love you famdango

2 Searchers

Homegirl Alex McGregor plays the lead female role in this CW drama. She portrays a girl who, together with her brother, investigates the disappearance of their parents that happened 10 years before. And since it’s a long-running series, you may catch sight of Zane Holtz, Chris Browning, Jeanine Mason, Bjorn Steinbach and Josh Kidd as well. Holtz even challenged himself to a hike on Lion’s Head not too long ago:

3 Troy: Fall of a City

BBC One and Netflix have come together to produce a mini-series focusing on the Trojan War and the romance between Paris and Helen. All eight episodes of the series will be shot in the Mother City, proving true the rumours that How to Get Away actor Alfred Enoch has been lodging here. Enoch is said to be playing the part of Trojan warrior Aeneas, but you can also expect other stars such as Chloe Pirrie, Louis Hunter, Bella Dayne, David Threlfall and Frances O’Connor to pop up on the city streets – especially if it’s a spot of shopping you’re doing as Pirrie recently took to Long Street for some thrifty finds:

4 Tomb Raider

Like we said, Alicia Vikander is in the city to shoot the remake of the action-packed blockbuster Tomb Raider, which follows the adventures of British archaeologist Lara Croft. And she’s even brought beau Michael Fassbender along for the ride. The new flick will show a young Lara embarking on her first expedition, and also stars Daniel Wu, Walton Goggins and Dominic West. And in true adventure-style, Wu tried his hand at steering a boat with Table Mountain as his backdrop:

5 Outlander

Season three of this much-loved drama about a nurse who time travels between 1945 and 1747 will end this year – but not before you catch some of its stars in and around Cape Town, which was transformed into the perfect Jamaican setting. Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, and Laura Donnelly have all enjoyed the Cape’s summer with Balfe showing her love for our town on social media:
