Bokeh South African International Lifestyle and Fashion Film Festival returns for its fifth year, and continues to grow in size and project. This year’s event promises to be the best yet, with Design, Music, and Technology now added to Fashion and Film as the festival’s five core pillars.
After a four year partnership with Mercedes-Benz, they have now moved on to Savanna Loco . “The relationship with Mercedes-Benz has lead us to this point, where we welcome a new direction to the festival as a lifestyle brand and are excited to introduce new avenues, such as Bokeh Fashion Film TV,” said Adrian Lazarus, Bokeh festival founder.
This year, Bokeh will be publishing the third edition of its Bokeh Magazine, as well as a television show, which will launch at the main red-carpet gala events in both Cape Town and Johannesburg this September.

Bokeh has been at the forefront of honouring and assisting young creatives and emerging talents, and will also begin shooting for its “Emerging Creative Talent” category. Students and design graduates are encouraged to to form teams to shoot short films with the assistance of Bokeh. Mentoring, budget and equipment will be provided, including Fuji XT-2 and XH-1 cameras. The ten Emerging Creative Talent Category films will be screened at the Gala Events with the winning team being awarded R50 000 to further advance their film careers.

In 2017, Bokeh received over 600 film submissions from 58 countries, and looks forward to welcoming even more in 2018. The Gala Events for the Bokeh SA International Lifestyle and Fashion Film Festival will take place on the 20th to the 29th of September 2018, in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.
