South Africans can now take a peek into the life of one of the country’s most controversial former presidents, Jacob Zuma, along with his family in a new reality TV show. Keeping Up With The Zumas is due to release soon, but the exact release date has not yet been announced.
Producer Legend Manqele confirmed that he has been shooting something with the former first family via his Twitter account. Last Friday, the producer shared photos of his crew at the Zuma home in Nkandla, and one was captioned: “Leaving (former) president Jacob Zuma’s house after shooting the most amazing thing”.
One of the photos featured Nonkanyiso Conco, who has a son with Zuma. “I don’t know if she will say anything at this stage; however, I can assure you that we are working together,” said Manqele. “The company is looking at walking a journey with her and it is going to be for public consumption through traditional media.”

Manqele seems to be focusing on Conco, as he says that she offers an interesting view and has stories to share with the country about the former president.
During an interview with The Sunday Tribune, Manqele said that the whole Zuma family would be included in the show. According to the producer, shooting in Nkandla last Friday was an “unforgettable experience”.
Manqele is widely known for producing popular Mzansi reality television shows such as Being Bonang, Living the Dream with Somizi, as well as Vuzu: Rich Kids.
