The 6th season of Survivor South Africa: Philippines will come to an end this Thursday, 16 August. Capetonians will have the chance to be part of the special finale live broadcast that will be filmed right here in Cape Town.
The winner of Survivor South Africa will be revealed on M-Net (DStv 101) but the live broadcast of this reveal and more will take place in front of a studio audience for the first time in the Mother City.
Previous seasons of Survivor South Africa all had final episodes filmed in Johannesburg but the new production company that took over from this season, Afrokaans, decided to bring the cast reunion and big winner reveal to the Cape.
The big reveal and finale will be filmed at Silverline Studios in De Waterkant.
“We considered several venues around the country for the final and the Silverline Studios met all our requirements. This season has also become known for its twists and turns and building on this trend, this is the first time that a Survivor South Africa final will be held in Cape Town,” Head of M-Net publicity, Lani Lombard, told Channel 24
The exclusive guest list selected for the live studio audience will include refreshed Survivor SA castaways, media and sponsors, as well as celebrities that are fans of the show.
Fans of the fun survival show have not been forgotten however – viewers can win tickets on Cape Union Mart and Huawei social media platforms this week.
Of the 2 hour special for Survivor SA: Philippines, the live broadcast portion will allow for fans to get a better idea of what happened on the Survivor island in the Philippines during the last two days, which were filmed earlier this year.
The 2-hour finale of Survivor SA: Philippines will broadcast on M-Net (DStv 101) on Thursday, 16 August at 19:00 until 21:00.
