The fashion world has had to take a different and even more creative strut with their displays in the past two years thanks to Covid-19’s insurgence into every industry. Across the world, from Prada’ Milan Fashion Week’s virtual runway to Moschino presenting a doll parade, all showcases have had digitalisation as the final designer.

SA Fashion Week SS21 was no exception. Their runway at Mall of Africa in Johannesburg saw a gorgeous virtual showcasing, where tickets could be bought for viewers to have a front-row seat from home.

Across the industry, the thought is that virtual and digital focus will be the future of fashion. Here are some of SA’s local genius, presented in fashion form, that was beautifully present digital style, at this year’s fashion week.
