Don’t miss the V&A Waterfront’s first underground party event on Saturday, 3 August in the Battery Park parking from 2pm until midnight. Come overdressed and drop that extra scarf or those woollen mittens into the donation bin, from where they will be delivered to NGOs who take care of the less fortunate in our society.
Entry is free, simply visit the website to download your ticket and bring along a warm item of clothing, blanket or non-perishable food to donate to Melela 4 Children, The Homestead Project for street children, and Ladles of Love. 10 ultra-cool DJs will donate their set time to the cause as they get the party pumping.
Other underground activities include skating and rollerblading as well as a Havaianas and sunglasses activation. And don’t miss the Sneaker Lab activation stand to customise your sneakers with cool paints, or make your creative mark in a graffiti paint-off and use the free Wi-Fi to show it off to the world.
Food and drinks will be on sale, and all monies raised from bar sales will also be donated to the three NGOs. The V&A Waterfront will also donate additional winter clothes, blankets and non-perishable foods they’ve been collecting since June.
And because waste is not cool, partygoers will each be given one branded melamine cup for their use throughout the night. These will be recycled after the event.
