The world’s biggest music festival hit Cape Town’s shores on Friday 24 February – and you can bet we were there to capture it all. Nic Fanciulli, DJ Snake, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Black Coffee and many more local and international DJs wowed crowds at Cape Town International Stadium with hot tunes and mind-blowing effects. One of the main sponsors, Samsung, delighted ULTRAnauts even more with their Samsung Galaxy Experience zones where partygoers could try out the brand’s virtual reality (VR) headsets, get painted in the Ultra-Violet Art area to take selfies beneath a UV light as well as take part in audio-visual activities, including turning their selfies into avatars.

But it wasn’t just one big party. The 20-year-old Martin Garrix, who hails from the Netherlands, also took some time to visit the SOS Children’s Village in Cape Town where it was announced that he had come onboard as the NGO’s international ambassador.

Check out what went down at the event in our video below and keep an eye on our site for more ULTRA SA coverage.
