GIRAFFE HOUSE
The Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness centre’s main focus is showing little ones, and adults alike, why our animals are so important and special. Kids will get to meet not only giraffes (who seem like the coolest animals around) but also crocodiles, ostriches, snakes as well as springbok which is South Africa’s national animal and our national bird, the blue crane.

CAPE TOWN SCIENCE CENTRE
These holidays Cape Town Science Centre’s winter programme will treat your kids to science shows, dissections, planetarium shows and a treasure hunt. Your mini scientist will also be able to build a microscope and design a maze as well as create a shooting lava lamp. DISCOVER THE DINOSAURS AT KIRSTENBOSCH
Kirstenbosch will be hosting a Winter Wonders programme during the school holidays. Children will get to head out on adventure trails through the botanical gardens where they’ll learn more about dinosaurs and magical hot-house plants, and meet a frog friend or two. There will also be a biodiversity and waste art workshop to teach the youth about the impact of waste on the earth.

WEST COAST FOSSIL PARK
At the West Coast Fossil Park, you and your children can travel back in time to five million years ago. There are fossil tours, nature trails which can be walked or cycled as well as creating a mini excavation experience for your kids and their friends.
