A trendy new urban bistro has emerged on Bree Street called B at 1 Urban Cafe.
At first B at 1 may appear as a regular sidewalk-style coffee shop, but step inside and you’ll be faced with modern finishings, a clean environment and a commendable menu that emphasises budget-friendly meals on the go without sacrificing quality.
I guess you could say that there is a little something for everybody at B at 1. Those who are banting will enjoy the beef and portobello mushroom burger served with caulimash, while the banting shepherd’s pie is also a hit for the low-carb crew. Business lunches are a breeze with reliable and free WiFi – their coffee is decent too!
B at 1’s pizza offering is worthy of praise. Their lunchtime special is a fresh-tasting, thin-crust Italian salami and cherry tomato pizza at the good price of R50. Even more value lies in their pizza special – two for one on selected nights.
Owner Kirk’s hands-on approach definitely adds value to the B at 1 experience and his team of friendly and efficient staff is testament to that. A great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a fully stocked bar.
