Since its establishment in the 1990s, Durbanville Hills Wine Estate has successfully added itself to the Western Cape’s list of premium wine producers. Its annual ‘Season of Sauvignon’ reflects its particular prowess in the creation of Sauvignon Blanc.

2016’s festivities were held from Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 October, and included a ‘Bubbles and Blanc’ festival. This was, therefore, the perfect occasion for Durbanville Hills to release a new Sauvignon Blanc sparkling wine.

Complete with a fruity taste, golden hue, and an inviting floral design on its bottle, this new addition to Durbanville Hills’ repertoire is sure to be the drink of choice this summer. Martin Moore, cellar master at Durbanville Hills says:

‘The bottle design is truly a work of art that we hope will take pride of place at any event, from an intimate dinner to a wedding reception,’

While this sparkling wine can be enjoyed on its own, Martin recommends pairing it with seafood dishes such as fresh oysters and smoked salmon. You can, of course, enjoy it any particular way you like. It is currently available at the Durbanville Hills wine cellar.
