There are many things we love about Saucisse Deli. They make outstanding breakfasts, they are environmentally conscious and focus on wholesome delicious treats. Perhaps one their best qualities is their continuous support of local products. Everything from the bread for the sandwiches to the condiments they use for flavour are all sourced from local businesses.
When chef-patron Amanda Lewis opened Saucisse Deli, she wanted to create a place that felt like home. To help achieve this she made use of her community to stock her deli. Not only does she use the products in her food, she also sells them for you to take home and enjoy. Just when you thought she could not top her support, Amanda hosted a Saucisse Showcase, giving her suppliers a chance to show off their wares.
The showcase featured an array of products that is the stuff of every foodie’s dream. There were cured meats, spreads and oils, honey, chocolate, the list goes on. We got to sample all of the products and find out more about how they are made. The producers put everything they have in there craft and it really shows.
