It’s been our long-held belied that wine tastes better when you know the story behind it. The grapes, the terroir, momentous moments – all this knowledge makes you appreciate each sip so much more. Googling this information can get tedious and while it’s always great to visit wine estates to learn about the background of the farm, it’s not always possible. it’s for this reason that Nederburg Wines have introduced an interactive and unique concept to share their story: a campaign across selected restaurants around the country called #OnceUponaNederburg.

The campaign highlights three premium wines from Nederburg’s The Winemasters collection, each named to honour the winery’s long-established tradition of winemaking excellence. The collection includes Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and are all classically styled food-friendly wines.

Dining at any of the participating restaurants will snag you a map of the Nederburg Wine Farm in Paarl with key milestones disguised as clever illustrations and written blurbs. Be warned, some of these may need a magnifying glass to locate – but it’s all worth it! When you find a hidden message on the map and show your waitron, you’ll be rewarded with cool prize
