It’s harvest time and Grande Provence invites you to help them celebrate this with fun activities and a feast. As February is all about love, there is also something sweet in store for all the romantics and chocolate lovers.
Harvest Festival
Be a part of Winelands life and try your hand at picking and stomping grapes, followed by wine tasting and a sumptuous feast at the Hands on Harvest Festival.
Tuck into muffins and coffee and get energised for the day. A tractor will transport you to the vineyards where the cellar master will share some grape picking tricks of the trade with you. You’ll be rewarded with wine tastings and a cellar tour before the real fun begins. You’ll get hands-on in the grape stomping activity where you’re sure to make friends and create memories.
Celebrate your hard work by feasting on a bountiful harvest buffet lunch. Live music will enhance the festive atmosphere and it promises to be an unforgettable day.
Chocolate Pairings
If you head out to Grande Provence on any day in February, you can celebrate the month of love with luxurious wine and chocolate pairings.
A Franschhoek chocolatier and Huguenot Fine Chocolates have collaborated with three wine partners to create unique wine-infused chocolates to luxuriate your senses.
The Tasting Room at Grande Provence is the spot where you can enjoy the alluring marriage of flavours custom-made to highlight the flavours ofAngels Tears Rosé, Grande Provence Rosé and Grande Provence Pinot Noir.
The 2015 vintages of the Angels Tears Rosé and Grande Provence Rosé are the perfect partners to Belgian white chocolate with a pink Rosé soaked ganache. A white Belgian chocolate truffle, with roasted peanuts and a purple ganache suits the classy Grande Provence Pinot Noir 2014 to a tee.
Spoil your special someone with an exclusive three-pack of Angels Tears Rosé, Grande Provence Rosé and Grande Provence Pinot Noir, available at the Tasting Room for R220 per pack.
