HOT NEW SPOT: THE STATION ON BREE

There are themed places and then there are themed places. The Station on Bree belongs to the latter and, last week, it opened its doors with a night of interesting cocktails, yummy canapes and a stellar performance by Rudi Smit.

With décor inspired by London’s underground railway system, this establishment provides an array of ‘stations’ that offer specific services, such as a bar where you can try unique cocktails like the Jubilee, a coffee station to give you a quick kick, a seated area for longer meals as well as a dance floor for when the night gets older.

What makes The Station particularly special is the detailed décor: handrails decorate the entrance and sign posts togive you a sense of direction in the vast space, while wallpaper and screens set the scene of the London underground and windows mirror the iconic red telephone booths the city is famous for. The kicker for us? The The dance floor, which is situated down a flight of stairs and with a mural of a map on the ceiling above you.

The Station offers an eclectic mix – that works. Stop by for a morning cuppa on your commute, sit down for a delicious meal at lunch or dinner, or wait for the sun to go down for cocktails and a night of dancing.
