In the middle of Bantry Bay, inside the President Hotel you will find the elegant Island Restaurant. A relaxed casual atmosphere, with a touch of sophistication, it is a delight for hotel guests and visitors alike.
In keeping with the season they have released their Summer menu, and it is full of yummy dishes for you to enjoy. They have everything from snacks and sandwiches, vegetarian and meat dishes and of course sweet treats.
To start there is a great range of salads, nibbles and for those who want some add luxe to your meal, fresh oysters. If you not very hungry, but would like to pick on something light, there is a great Charcuterie board and snack platter with prawns, squid, chicken strips and sliders.
One of the great things about the Islands restaurant, is its great variety. Whether you are gluten intolerant, vegetarian, or have nut allergies there are many options for you to choose from.
They also have a great key so you know which dishes contain pork, nuts and which are gluten free and vegetarian. They also have a Sommelier who will help you pick the perfect wine for your meal.
Some of the mains include wild mushroom risotto, gnocchi with gorgonzola, fresh line fish or Grilled salmon with potatoes and veggies, burgers, steak and springbok sirloin. For the little one there is yummy menu that has pizza, spaghetti, burgers and strips in chicken and fish form. Dessert lovers can look forward to crème brûlée, warm Belgian sugar waffles and ice cream.
