Grab a seat on the upper deck overlooking the harbour and indulge in the aptly named ‘Small Plates Menu’. But don’t let the ‘small’ fool you – each serving is comprised of ample food so you can easily share with a partner or friends. Chef Sias Tabambi has crafted a delightful array of dishes that are delicious and synonymous with the high quality associated with the Harbour House name.
Start things off with a highly recommended salad, such as the fried tomato and Caesar. Even if you’re more of a carnivore, the ingredients used are so fresh and the flavour combinations in the dressings so tasteful that you may just find yourself a revert. In the mood for fare from the sea? Try the golden-brown fish goujons, calamari or prawns fried with zucchini and lemon and served with garlic aioli, or American-style (read: big portions) sushi. And because Chef Sias is one of six SASSI Trailblazer chefs in the Western Cape, you know all the fish you eat at Harbour House is sustainable.
Don’t forget to wash down your meal with a good ol’ drink too. Harbour House has a great cocktail menu featuring all the favourites – with a twist. Expect flavoured mojitos, strawberry Pimm’s cups and even a mango julep. Plus, the bar is so accommodating, you can even request a cocktail not on the menu.
