Gin lovers can create their very own one-of-a-kind gin at The Radisson Red’s brand new in-house botanical gin blending bar featured at their OUI Bar.

This new botanical gin blending bar now offers a step-by-step guide for those who are wanting to create their own special gin. All the measuring tools required are available as well as a in-house reduced-sugar tonic water along with garnishes of choice and of course ice and glasses.

Multiple botanical gin flavour profiles are available such as juniper, citrus, naartjie, grapefruit, nutmeg and more. Each of the flavour profiles which are added to the base gin has been distilled and blended with water to be 43% alcohol.

Patrons can create a 250ml unique blend of gin with a base of 100ml – 120ml of pure gin that is supplied from the local gin distillery, Hope on Hopkins.

Pricing for gin blending sessions:

Prices vary depending on the number of people that are taking part in the gin blending.

Gin Tasting

The botanical bar offers a gin tasting of their in-house produced gin, Skinny Dip and Khoi Cloud as well. The Skinny Dip gin is a lighter gin drink with sweeter accents of pink peppercorns, whereas the Khoi Cloud is a heavier gin with earthier tones of citrus peel and herbs.

These varied gin flavours are created utilising herbs grown on the rooftop of the hotel.

The creation of these two gin-tasting options was born out of a partnership between Radisson Red and Hope on Hopkins Gin Distillery, located in Woodstock and are available for purchase at the hotel.

Gin tastings of these creations cost R250 per person.
